Chinese tech giant Tencent has just become a major shareholder in Techland, developer of the popular Dying Light series. It's the company's biggest change in recent years, and it comes during an as-yet-untitled fantasy role-playing game Techland is currently developing. Players can prepare enough Dying Light Cheap in the game.
Founded in 1991 by CEO Pawel Marchewka, Techland is a video game developer based in Poland. The publisher is best known today for its Dying Light series, which has been a focus for the past decade. Prior to this, Techland developed four games for the Wild West series, the first "Dead Island" and its sequel "Dead Island Riptide". So despite Dying Light 2's mixed reviews, the company still has a ton of talent, as well as some pretty popular IP.
Today, Techland announced via a blog post written by Marchewka that a majority of its stake has been acquired by Chinese tech giant Tencent. Marchewka confirmed that the company will retain full ownership of its intellectual property and maintain complete creative freedom, while Marchewka retains his position. It's too early to tell what this means for Techland, but the official announcement reassures fans who may have worried that the acquisition could lead to creative intervention.
It's another step in Tencent's bid to acquire more studios and increase its stake in other game developers and publishers. Last year, Tencent made a huge investment in Ubisoft and is continuing to increase its investment. Another bright spot in recent years has been the $1.27 billion acquisition of Sumo Group, the developer of "Sack Adventures," one of the largest acquisitions ever by the Chinese tech giant.
Currently, Techland is developing an open world fantasy action role-playing game, which has not yet been officially named. According to the information previously disclosed by the developer, the new work will feature a complete open world exploration, which is significantly different from Dying Light 2 in terms of tone and gameplay. The game is described as an epic narrative adventure with an exotic open world to explore and a strong story focus. Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot of information about the upcoming game right now, so fans will have to wait a while to find out more. For more game guides, please visit https://www.rvgm.ru/.
